Our Monte della Guardia is predominantly made with Cabernet Sauvignon (60%)
and Merlot (40%).
The Complex interplay of aromas and flavours in the wine comes
from these vineyards planted in soils enjoying the sunshine all day.
The color is a deep red in part attributable to a quick passage in barriques, and the bouquet has that typical gamy underbrush tang of cabernet laced with plumbs and berry fruit.
On the palate the merlot comes forth, contributing delicate well rounded tannins.
It's round enough to go well with first course dishes, such as risotti or tortellini but powerful enough to go well with grilled meats too.
